Kupe and the giant wheke create task 1 

Characters: Kupe, Hine-ti-aparangi 

Setting: the ocean 

Problem: There bait was stolen from an octopus 

Conclusion: They killed the octopus and lived happily ever after 

Action: Riding in a canoe and trying to catch a fish but instead nothing 

Feelings: Happy,Angry,Puzzled, Confused

For the last 2 weeks I have been working on my Create task 2 and for Create task 2 I had to fill out an Evaluate story about the book you choose. The book that I choose was Rata and the Totara tree bye

Rata and the totara tree

WALT: Analyse and evaluate the actions and story lines of Maori myths and legends 

Kia ora 

For reading we are learning about myths and legends and my book is Rata and the totara tree. 

In this book the characters are Rata.      

The setting is in the forest 

The problem is that Rata forgot to pray to Tane Mahuta so when rata cut down the tree the next morning it was standing up right 

The feelings were angry,surprised,ashamed,happy,confused,annoyed,disappointed and puzzled

the action was that Rata was trying to whack down a tree but then Tane mahuta and all his insects kept putting it the straight back up 

the conclusion was he finally realised what he did and then prayed to tane mahuta and got his Waka
